GHYLL SCRAMBLING AND CANYONING
WHAT IS GHYLL SCRAMBLING ?
Ghyll scrambling / Gorge walking is the exhilarating activity of climbing up waterfalls, tackling water flumes, traversing rocky obstacles and jumping into deep swirling plunge pools, you wont believe how much fun this is until you have tried it!!
Very wet, wild and challenging, Ghyll scrambling – Gorge walking is probably the most exciting activity you can do if the weather is not brilliant,
Available to everybody, adults and kids alike, we can cater for all types of groups, from Stag and Hen parties to Dad and Lad teams, or full families, from easy ghylls to full on Canyon jumping!!there are paths running along side certain Ghylls, so if one section is a little too daring for you, you can miss it out and rejoin on the next section.
WHAT IS CANYONING?
We are now running the ultimate in adrenaline!, Canyoning is similar to Ghyll scrambling but this time we come down rather than climb up, there are some serious jumps of up to 40ft into deep fast flowing Lakeland pools, 20ft slides and some great high level traverses, and more waterfall jumps than you can shake a stick at!! this one is a little more serious, so we have had to put in place an over 15 age limit, you will also need nerves of steel and a head for heights, great if you have been out ghyll scrambling with us before and want to notch up the technical level. Wetsuits, helmets, buoyancy aids and climbing harnesses are included within the price
