2 Day Navigation course

Does your confidence need a boost to get out on the fells and mountains? we can teach you the Navigational skills to help you stay safe!

We are running a 2 Day Navigation course on the 11th and 12th of April in the beautiful Lake District, we have 4 spaces available and is 1st come 1st served.

Course content:

• How to interpret an OS map and recognise all the various information it gives the navigator.
• How to plan a comprehensive route card.
• Feature identification.
• Handrailing.
• Attack points.
• Aiming off.
• Contour use.
• Sight bearings

This course is ideal for summer walkers or people with no previous experience of navigating with a map and compass, the course has been tailored to include all the fundamental basics without overloading the information too much, we guarantee by the end of the 2 days you will have the skills and confidence to plan and follow a route.
